Highlights of Boating with COBLI

Since joining COBLI’s Sydney Harbour syndicate, Michael and Kaylene have created lasting memories on the water. One highlight was participating in the owners’ event, which included an offshore journey from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury and back in three-meter swells. “We never would’ve braved those conditions on our own,” Michael said. “That trip gave us so much confidence in the boat’s capability.

The event was also a testament to COBLI’s exceptional service. “The team handled everything—including refueling while at the event—it was completely stress-free,” Kaylene noted. “It was a fantastic day, and the boating community is such a welcoming group of people. We look forward to deepening our new friendships at future events.”

Over the Christmas and New Year’s break, the couple spent multiple days on their Axopar 28 Cabin, bringing their four children onboard at different times. They celebrated Boxing Day and enjoyed Sydney’s vibrant summer boating scene, including watching the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. “Being in the middle of it all, with so many boats around, was such a great atmosphere.” Michael said.

Exploring Sydney Harbour and Beyond

Michael and Kaylene enjoy using their Axopar boat share to discover hidden gems. Their favourite spots include Parsley Bay, Whiting Beach, and other quiet bays. 

Hosting visitors is another highlight. “It’s great to show interstate and international guests the beauty of Sydney Harbour,” Kaylene added. “Taking our American friends out on the Harbour was a highlight—they were absolutely blown away by the experience.”

“I know there are so many logistics in running a boat and COBLI do it so well,” Michael emphasised. “They take care of everything, so we can just enjoy our time on the water.”

Looking Ahead

Michael and Kaylene are excited about their future adventures, including an overnight trip to Peats Bite. “The Hawkesbury is such a beautiful area, and we’re looking forward to exploring it further,” Michael said.
