4. Pittwater – Pittwater is a highly underrated inland waterway and gateway to the secluded Hawkesbury river just 15 nautical miles north of Sydney Harbour. The rolling hills that scope this scenic bay provide optimal protection. 5. Palm Beach/ Barrenjoey Head – The most popular tourist attraction in the far north of Sydney is Palm Beach, most known for its picture worthy opportunities from the lighthouse walk. For boaties, being on the entrance to the ocean Palm Beach also provides the opportunity to see wildlife including seals and often dolphins.
